About Pebble Path Journal
Built by a mom. For the children she loves. And for the child she once was.
Where this started
I grew up in a house where emotions weren't safe.
Not because anyone was cruel. But because the adults around me were carrying their own unhealed wounds, and nobody had ever taught them what to do with feelings, either. So I learned to make myself small. To read the room. To manage everyone else's emotions so my own didn't cause a problem.
I grew up not knowing what I felt. Not knowing who I was. Not knowing whether my inner world was trustworthy, because nobody had ever told me it was.
As an adult, that showed up as people-pleasing, anxiety, a deep disconnection from myself, and a way of running from feelings that had been working against me for years. The turning point was meditation and journaling. I discovered, slowly, non-linearly, that the fear of a feeling is almost always worse than the feeling itself. That when you stop running and simply allow, the emotion moves through. I began the slow work of building a self.
And then I became a mom.
And everything cracked open again.
Why I built this
I looked for a tool I could use with my daughter. Something simple. Done for you. Something that would build emotional vocabulary, teach regulation through play, and give us a daily ritual of connection, all in five minutes, before the rest of the day began.
I couldn't find it.
So I built it.
The Pebble Path Journal collection began with one question: What would it look like to give a child the emotional foundation I never had? Not through a lecture. Not through a curriculum. Through five minutes, every morning, of showing up and paying attention to what's happening inside.
Every journal in the collection is therapist-approved and grounded in the tools that changed my own life - CBT, ACT, somatic awareness, and a deep belief that feelings are not the enemy. They are information. And a child who learns to listen to them, without being ruled by them, is a child who knows who they are.
What we believe
• Every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued.
• Feelings are not the enemy; they are information.
• The repair is more powerful than the rupture.
• You don't have to be fully healed to be a good parent.
• Healing is not linear, and that's okay.
• A child who knows who they are doesn't need the world to tell them.
• Breaking a cycle is one of the most courageous things a person can do.
• Consistency and repair build more security than perfection ever could.
• Every pebble on the path, hard or easy, belongs there.
I built the tool I needed. I'm sharing it in case you need it too.

Therapist-Approved Kid's Journal
Catherine Divaris, OT, Emotional Regulation Coach, Mom Potential
I was genuinely impressed by the Pebble Path Journal from the moment I opened it.
The overall visuals are clean, calm, and incredibly inviting. As an occupational therapist and Emotional regulation coach, who cares deeply about how nervous-system-friendly design impacts engagement, I immediately appreciated how soothing and uncluttered it feels. It’s not overstimulating, it’s grounding.
The characters are especially well done. They’re engaging, child-friendly, and simple in the best way. I love that there are only three characters. That simplicity makes it easier for children to follow along, understand, and build familiarity without cognitive overload.
One of my favorite elements is the visual of the path itself. It’s such a powerful and accessible metaphor for children, that we are walking a path, not reaching a destination. The skills they practice (breathing, mindfulness, emotional awareness) aren’t one-time fixes. They’re tools we use along the road. The path imagery makes that concept tangible and developmentally appropriate.
My twins are almost five and not yet writing independently, but the journal is still very user-friendly. It invites parent-child connection, sitting together, talking through big feelings, writing alongside them, and modeling the skills in real time.
The coloring pages are engaging, the daily check-ins are motivating, and the varied activities keep it fresh and interesting. It doesn’t feel repetitive, which is so important for young children.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Pebble Path Journal as a supportive tool for parents navigating big emotions with their children. It creates structure, connection, and skill-building in a way that feels gentle and accessible.
Such a thoughtful resource.

This book is such an important and age appropriate way to start the conversation with your young kids about feelings and managing your emotions. As a therapist, who works with anxious kids and families, being able to provide them with resources that kids enjoy engaging with is a great way to develop new skills such as mindfulness and deep breathing. Highly recommend!!

As a Licensed Counselor and a mom of 3, I can't say enough good things about this journal! It builds foundational emotional skills that help children identify their emotions, practice gratitude and learn tools to regulate their big feelings. And the best part is that my 3 and 4 year old are genuinely so excited to use it nightly! These tools are backed by science yet fun enough that your kids will actually want to stick with it!
