Every connection begins with understanding. Let's cross the bridge together.

Welcome to Empathy Bridge, the second stop on the Pebble Path - a guided emotional-growth adventure where kids ages 5–11 explore kindness, compassion, friendships, and what it means to understand themselves and others.

Alongside friendly forest guides, children discover that everyone experiences feelings differently, that kindness begins with how we treat ourselves, and that understanding another person's perspective can help us build meaningful connections.

With a new activity every day, Empathy Bridge turns emotional learning into a five-minute adventure that children and their grown-ups can enjoy together.

A little adventure, one day at a time

Over three months, children journey through three connected themes, exploring empathy from the inside out. Each daily page includes:

Mood check-in: Notice and name the feelings you're experiencing.

Gratitude moment: Appreciate the people, experiences, and little things that matter.

Daily lesson and affirmation: Discover meaningful ideas about compassion, understanding, and connection.

Unique activity or reflection: Explore a new question, creative exercise, or real-life situation.

Every day offers a fresh opportunity to practice seeing the world through another perspective.

More than a journal. A moment to connect.

Empathy isn't just something children learn about. It's something they experience through everyday interactions.

Empathy Bridge gives parents and children a gentle way to talk about friendships, misunderstandings, kindness, and the feelings that can be difficult to explain.

Whether you explore the pages together at bedtime, after school, or during a quiet moment, the journal creates space for thoughtful conversations without pressure or judgment.

Thoughtfully designed for emotional growth

Reviewed by therapists and informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and body-based (somatic) emotional-awareness practices, Empathy Bridge helps children:

Develop self-compassion and a kinder inner voice.

Recognize that others may think and feel differently.

Practice perspective-taking and emotional understanding.

Explore kindness, friendship, and meaningful connection.

Make thoughtful choices in their relationships.

The next stop on the Pebble Path

Every pebble represents a feeling or experience that shapes our journey. Some are easy to navigate, while others challenge us to grow.

Empathy Bridge invites children to discover that everyone walks a unique path - and that understanding one another can make the journey more meaningful.

Whether you're continuing from Internal Compass or beginning your adventure here, there's always something new to discover.

90 days. Five minutes a day. More understanding, one connection at a time.

This has been such a helpful tool for my daughter. She is a little young (4-year-old) so I write in her responses. But we journal every night before bed and it has been a consistent routine to bond, connect and talk. I feel like our relationship is so much stronger (especially after adjusting to baby #2) and she is able to talk about her feelings more clearly and ask for help when feeling overwhelmed.
I would highly recommend this journal! And I love that it's a series, we will definitely be buying the next journal when we finish this one!

Therapist-Approved Kid's Journal

Catherine Divaris, OT, Emotional Regulation Coach, Mom Potential

I was genuinely impressed by the Pebble Path Journal from the moment I opened it.

The overall visuals are clean, calm, and incredibly inviting. As an occupational therapist and Emotional regulation coach, who cares deeply about how nervous-system-friendly design impacts engagement, I immediately appreciated how soothing and uncluttered it feels. It’s not overstimulating, it’s grounding.

The characters are especially well done. They’re engaging, child-friendly, and simple in the best way. I love that there are only three characters. That simplicity makes it easier for children to follow along, understand, and build familiarity without cognitive overload.

One of my favorite elements is the visual of the path itself. It’s such a powerful and accessible metaphor for children, that we are walking a path, not reaching a destination. The skills they practice (breathing, mindfulness, emotional awareness) aren’t one-time fixes. They’re tools we use along the road. The path imagery makes that concept tangible and developmentally appropriate.

My twins are almost five and not yet writing independently, but the journal is still very user-friendly. It invites parent-child connection, sitting together, talking through big feelings, writing alongside them, and modeling the skills in real time.

The coloring pages are engaging, the daily check-ins are motivating, and the varied activities keep it fresh and interesting. It doesn’t feel repetitive, which is so important for young children.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Pebble Path Journal as a supportive tool for parents navigating big emotions with their children. It creates structure, connection, and skill-building in a way that feels gentle and accessible.

Such a thoughtful resource.

Allie McQuaid, LCPC, PMH-C

This book is such an important and age appropriate way to start the conversation with your young kids about feelings and managing your emotions. As a therapist, who works with anxious kids and families, being able to provide them with resources that kids enjoy engaging with is a great way to develop new skills such as mindfulness and deep breathing. Highly recommend!!

As a Licensed Counselor and a mom of 3, I can't say enough good things about this journal! It builds foundational emotional skills that help children identify their emotions, practice gratitude and learn tools to regulate their big feelings. And the best part is that my 3 and 4 year old are genuinely so excited to use it nightly! These tools are backed by science yet fun enough that your kids will actually want to stick with it!
